This past week hasn't really felt like the dog days of summer that we would expect in August. We've loved the cooler temperatures (highs in just the mid-80's) and being able to spend more time outside. Here's a pretty good shot of Jackson's 4 teeth. His fifth is coming in now.

Kate enjoying another apple from the tree out back.

Kate has been doing more helpful big sister things lately. She definitely has her moments both ways- not wanting Jackson around and then trying to make him laugh or singing to him to calm him down. It's cute (yet frustrating) in the evening when I'm trying to put Jackson to bed and she comes into the room to give him a hug and a kiss. She grabs his cheeks with both her hands and gives him a big kiss on the lips and then wraps her arms around his neck to hug him. Then Jackson is fully wide awake again and ready to follow big sister out of the room.

Don't know who taught her to hold her hands up like that while she slides-- like she's on a roller coaster.

In the play house. Kate eating another apple.

We pulled the sprinkler out the other week and have had fun playing in it. Having come from drought-striken Atlanta, it feels like a huge luxury to be able to "waste" the water like this. Jackson loves to sit right by it and stick his hand in the spray.

Last Saturday at the Bowins. Our friends Jon and Dawn came up from Atlanta with their two boys. Here's our attempt to get them all in a picture together. There's Jackson (10 mo), Chase and Cole (2 years), Kate (2 1/3 yrs), Logan (2 1/2), and Conner (5). And me (19.. ha, ha)
