Just have to share these pictures from yesterday. We went to Max Patch in NC and had the best afternoon of flying kites and just being in a beautiful place together.
By the end of the afternoon we were just taking turns with Kate's kite. She had a nice one given to her for her birthday and once we got it up, it just stayed up. The difference between her kite and the boys' was huge! The boys both got theirs up for quite a while too but it took more work to keep them up and all Kate had to do was stand there and hold her string. We had to chase kites a few times when the string was accidentally dropped but luckily there was an un-mowed patch nearby that caught hold of the string if we weren't quick enough the catch it.
