Shots from the weekend trip to Grandfather Mountain in NC.

Our friends Wren, Jason and Sipsy (the cute four-legged one) came to join us for the day.
Peaking out as they are hiding from Jason and Sipsy.
Big brother giving little brother a hand.
We choose a 1-mile out-and-back trail to hike, which ended up being a bit rocky. Ben loved every minute of it, though. And was determined to do it all by himself. He only took help when he absolutely needed it and pushed me away a few times when I was hoovering too close.

Cool rock bridge.
The lighting on this shot is not good but such a sweet expression! The trail went under this rock.
We were hit by a summer shower on the way back, but luckily when you're car camping, there are plenty of towels and dry clothes nearby! Took the kids just over an hour to do the first mile, but they got some piggy back rides to help finish it back in the rain and we made it back in 30 minutes.
And back at the campsite...
Cinnamon rolls on the campfire! Yum!
View from Ben's world...

Cuddling as we listen to some evening bluegrass at the campground.
But Ben turns it into a dogpile!
