This weekend we decided to head for the mountains to escape some of the heat! It was 20 degrees cooler up there, not bad for a three hour drive.

A short loop trail takes Kate on the Appalachian Trail for the first time. It was a beautiful day!

While Kate takes time out for a nap, we enjoy the scenery and make plans for the next stop.

Kate must think that Lila's bed is pretty comfy.
