Kate and I have discovered that baths outside on the deck are lots of fun!

Don't you all wish you had a bunny hoody towel like Kate?

Cathy came to visit last week and luckily it cooled down a bit so we could make it to the beach. It's funny to think that it needs to cool down to go to the beach! We've had temperatures here over 100 degrees.

Kate wants to stick everything in her mouth. Who wants to wear sunglasses when you can chew on them?

Here's the view from the boardwalk onto Virginia Beach. The paved boardwalk is a great place to take a walk while Kate sleeps.

On Sunday we went aboard the battleship Wisconsin that sits in the Norfolk Harbor. It was built in 1943 and served in WWII, the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm. It could still be called up for duty today, although I think it's last on the list.

Cathy is ready to send out some Morse Code with the spotlight!

Next we went on a cruise around the harbor aboard a ship designed to be like a 19th century schooner, with lots of sails. They did turn off all the motors so we were actually sailing around the harbor.

You can see a bit of the sails in this picture.

Kate enjoyed her first boat ride!

Here's Kate asleep in the sling. I'm sure the rocking of the boat helped lull her to sleep. Posted by Picasa
