Look at us-- we have a fancy new washer and dryer. This was our entertainment one day last week- watching the clothes get washed.

Check out the new tile floor too!

Hailstorm

We just happened to have the tape measure on the counter so might as well take a picture.

We have exterior damage to the house and Jamie's truck but are thankful it wasn't worse-- there are lots of broken windows and windshields around. It is more roof, gutter and siding damage for us. Even the wooden fence is splintered in places where it was pelted by the hail. Some plants were beat up pretty badly but luckily I hadn't put in all my garden veggies yet. The storm definitely scared the kids. It was so loud beating down on the house. We were hiding in the closet under the stairs and didn't even have to ask the dogs to come in with us. They were there as soon as they saw us go in.

ER trip to get some stitches. Benjamin tripped in the garage and had a gaping hole in his lip. I don't think he tripped on anything in particular or hit his lip on anything (other than the hard, cement floor).

Camera is a good form of entertainment. You can tell he is in a lot of pain and very sad about the whole experience...

He took this shot of me!

All stitched up (and after a little snack- hence the dirty face). We were told it was really the placement of the cut that warranted the stitches. It crossed over from his lip to his face and that could cause bad scarring.
Right before we headed to get his stitches cut back out. It's looking great now. Actually, it's barely noticeable.
