Happy Birthday, Kate!

Kate turned 4 last week and we had a terriffic week of celebration. Cupcakes at school, a visit from our great friend Cathy and a party Friday evening. Here's Kate with her My Little Pony cake.
We moved the party from Saturday to Friday because of the predicted storms for Saturday and I'm so glad we did. The weather was perfect (and was yucky on Saturday). We really got to take advantage of our big backyard for the first time and I had so much fun just watching them all run around and play together. With the three families there we managed to have 10 kids total. Jamie's brother Andy came up as well. She got two very fun tents to play in! We already had the connecting tunnel-- what a perfect combination. What's a party without a pinata? (thanks, Doug and Naomi!)Kate with her birthday ponies and new Tinkerbell shirt. So after a great party we still got to spend the rest of the weekend with Andy! Jackson went on a bike ride with them.
And played with trains.
We had a picnic at a nearby park and played. It was such a wonderful weekend.
Having him up for a visit made us miss him all the more. Really. (Just ignore the actual expression on Benjamin's face and pretend it's a look of complete love and affection, kinda like Kate.)
