We have survived our first two weeks in Knoxville. Tomorrow Jamie starts the new job and I'm sure life will start here will become a little more normal and routine. The first week in Knoxville was a long one without Jamie but we survived. Jamie ended up staying in Marietta for a while, working on the house there and tying up loose ends. We like the rental house. It suits our needs pretty perfectly-- if only it had a little more storage space, but who doesn't want that (aside from my parents in their new house!). Kate loves drawing with chalk on the back patio (she is really turning into quite a little artist) and she likes picking apples from the apple tree in the back. I think she has finally gotten all the ones that she can manage to reach.
Eating one of the tiny apples she picked.Coloring and eating a popsickle.
One day the kids and I took a drive over to Cades Cove-- it was nice to discover that it only takes an hour to get to the Cove from our house.
We've been doing more exploring since Jamie's made it up here. We took the kids camping for the first time and it went pretty well. I was worried about Kate especially going to sleep she went to bed no problem before it was even dark outside. She had lots of fun playing around the campsite. We bought a huge tent-- there's enough room for our full sized blow-up mattress, Kate's sleeping bag/inflatable mattress and the Pack n' Play.Jack's all ready to lend a hand in pitching the tent! This is where Jack seemed to sleep best! Awake and ready to play long after Kate went to sleep!Yummy breakfast that Jamie made.
A little morning reading time in the tent.
