After much discussion and prayer, we have made the decision to move to Knoxville, TN! Jamie will be working for Lauren Engineers & Constructors (http://www.laurenec.com/) as a construction engineer-- what most construction companies would call project engineer. The Knoxville office is a relatively small with background in engineering only, and he will be part of the team starting to run construction projects out of this office. We are excited about exploring a great new area but there is lots to do before we get there. Right now we are in the midst of getting the house ready to put on the market. One thing we're doing is putting new carpet in upstairs. Here's Kate giving me a hand in doing some measurements!
Everytime she measures something, she says it's 89.
We've also taken the crib out of Kate's room. She's now sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor. She still manages to fall out of her twin bed, even with the railing on it, so this seems like a fine solution for now. I'm excited that she will actually fall asleep outside of her crib, even with all the distrations of fun playthings in her room. She will get up and play sometimes, but then still manages to fall asleep on her mattress-- perhaps in the midst of play! That's her Elmo doctor's kit in her hand below.
And here she is with her rain boots on... not quite on the mattress but asleep!
Jackson is turning more and more into a little boy. He's eating 3 "real" food meals a day with us now. On Wednesday he had asparagus for the first time-- that gets some interesting faces out of him but he still eats it. Here he is eating something a little more tasty with Grandma!

What? You're moving!?!?!? You'll have to keep me updated on the move. I mapquested Knoxville and you're only 4.5 hours away. That's nothing compared to our drives to NY.
