Labor Day 2006. We go for a hike. Kate apparently isn't too excited about it.

"Why are the dogs so tired and thirsty? We weren't gone that long, were we?"

Next-- the beach. This is all at First Landing State Park, by the way. It's about 30 minutes away from the house, on the Chesapeake Bay.

Ollie is very intently watching the sand crabs as they scurry in and out of their holes. I think at one point he did actually catch one.
